About Dave Biggers
Why I’m Running
Public Safety, Government Accountability and Efficiency
Somebody once said, “the biggest room in the world is room for improvement.” That’s how I feel about Louisville.
Although we’ve come a long way, there’s still work to be done. I believe with the right leadership we can make significant changes in our community, ALL of our community, for the better.
I’m not saying I will do it by myself, as no one person can, but a TEAM can. Government isn’t a marathon, it’s a relay. The one that starts the race doesn’t finish it, but if we all do our part, we all win.
I’m ready to do my part. Are YOU?
Second Time’s A Charm
I ran for mayor in 2018 as a Democrat. I did a few forums and interviews, but I’ve always been an independent – Independent Thinker, Independent Voter is what I believe.
This time, I’m running as an independent because that’s what I am. Not anti-Democrat, not anti-Republican. Pro-Louisville.
A Non-Traditional Campaign
I plan on running a slightly non-traditional campaign. I’m going to rely heavily on word of mouth advertising, being that I signed an exemption from reporting if I spend less than three thousand dollars.
Frankly, I don’t even plan on spending close to that. I don’t want people to give me ten or twenty dollars for a yard sign – I want people to create their own yard sign out of whatever and write “Vote for Dave” or “Dave for Mayor.” If you have kids, they would probably love to paint on some poster board, cardboard, or any type of board. Make it fun.

My Approach
Evidence-Based Policy
Every proposal in this campaign is backed by research from cities where similar programs have succeeded. We’re not guessing – we’re learning from what works.
Community-Driven Solutions
The ideas in this campaign didn’t come from political consultants. They came from listening to Louisville residents talk about what their neighborhoods need.
Full Transparency
42 detailed policy documents (16 comprehensive platform policies and 26 implementation documents). Every budget line explained. No hidden agendas. You deserve to know exactly what your mayor plans to do.
What Makes This Campaign Different
Grassroots Funding
Under $3,000 total spending. No corporate money. No PAC money. Just people power.
Detailed Plans
42 policy documents (16 comprehensive platform policies and 26 implementation documents) and 351-term voter education glossary totaling thousands of pages. We’re not hiding behind slogans.
Ready to Govern
Not just ready to campaign – ready to lead on Day 1 with a complete implementation plan.
“The biggest room in the world is room for improvement.”
Let’s improve Louisville together.
