Reentry Programs

Services helping released inmates successfully transition back to the community—housing assistance, job training, education, mental health treatment, substance abuse counseling. People leaving incarceration face massive obstacles: employer discrimination, housing barriers, lost family connections, lack of work history. Without support, recidivism is almost inevitable. Louisville needs robust reentry programs funded through criminal justice budgets, not just non-profit charity.
