Polling Location

Definition

The physical place where voters in a precinct cast their ballots—typically schools, community centers, churches, or fire stations. In Jefferson County, there are about 200-250 polling locations serving 380 precincts (some locations serve multiple precincts). Polling locations are open 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on Election Day.
