Small video cameras attached to police uniforms that record officer interactions with the public. LMPD officers are required to wear body cameras and activate them during all enforcement encounters. Camera footage provides evidence in complaints and helps hold both officers and citizens accountable. However, policies about when cameras must be on and when footage is released remain contentious.
