Voter Turnout
Definition
The percentage of registered voters who actually cast ballots in an election. Louisville turnout is usually far lower in local primaries than in general elections. Presidential elections bring the highest turnout. Low turnout in local elections means small groups of engaged voters have disproportionate influence on who runs our city government.
